17: Archiving "Collaborative Projects on Internet"

Much has been written online about Collaborative Projects on Internet, and much has been lost through neglect and closure of websites. Thus it is important to archive the data. In this instance, YouTube has been very useful.
See this video, for example >>>.

8: Celebrating National Day

It was not all work as a Senior IT Instructor at ETD. We had time to celebrate occasions such as a successful training outcome of a school, the completion of an ICT seminar or conference and, in particular, National Day.

7: ON2IT - an MOE Publication

Much that was accomplished in the IT MasterPlan when we were Senior IT Instructors has been recorded in the MOE Educational Technology Division's publication "ON2IT".

(Below): I was interviewed regarding my role in the implementation of the IT MasterPlan by an ETD officer for "ON2IT". (Vide: Page 119, "Building an international montage" in "ON2IT".

6: Field Trips

We organized field trips to augment our training strategies for our Social Studies Cluster. Here's one in which we drove to West Malaysia to check out the fishing village and Kampong Laut of Kukup and developments at the southern-most tip of the Asian mainland, Tanjung Piai.

5: In-house Training Workshops

When we were not training teachers, we kept ourselves busy by upgrading our skills and knowledge. For this purpose, ETD arranged for oversea experts in Educational Research, Methodology and Technology to conduct workshops for our benefit.

4: CIP (Community Involvement Project)

As Sr IT Instructors, we contributed our share of CIP by refurbishing used computers at a secondary school zonal project. The benefiaries were needy senior citizens who would get a refurbished computer free of charge as donations from the zone.

3: Ed Tech Conference

At the EdTech Conference, I presented a paper on "Collaborative Project on Internet - Project OceanWave". This project involved students from Singapore collaborating with students from Birmingham, UK, as well as an aircraft-carrier HMS Illustrious on its way to Singapore. Here's a report of it on YouTube.

The picture below shows the event on HMS Illustrious when the project students met members of the crew from the Royal Navy:
